According to the OGAE International statutes, the Bureau elections will take place at the next general Presidents’ Meeting in Tel Aviv 17 May 2019.
Elections will take place for each of the following seven posts:
President
Secretary
Treasurer
Bureau members (2)
Deputy members (2)
You may find information for each post here: https://ogaeinternational.org/about/oga … h-version/
The Bureau calls for applications to the seven posts. Any active member of an OGAE member club is invited to put themselves forward for election. Please note that the actual elections will take place in Tel Aviv at the Presidents’ Meeting but the respective candidates do not have to be present during the Presidents’ Meeting. We will send a provisional agenda for the meeting in the coming weeks. For your information all current Bureau members are standing again except Laufey Helga Guðmundsdóttir (secretary), Erik Bolks (Bureau Member) and Michal Smrek (Bureau member).
Those interested in putting themselves forward should apply in writing to laufeyhelgagudmundsdottir@gmail.com by midnight (CET) 17 April 2019 including a short cv/resume and explanation of why they would like to serve on the Bureau.
Information about the candidates will be circulated to the presidents by email no later than 20 April. The respective candidates will then have the opportunity to introduce themselves in the Presidents’ meeting in May. In the interests of fairness, we kindly ask the candidates not to engage in any campaigning ahead of the meeting. The Presidents should make their decision based on the candidates’ applications, presentations and the answers to any questions in the Presidents‘ Meeting.
Please distribute information about the upcoming elections to your club membership.
On behalf of the Bureau,
Laufey Helga Guðmundsdóttir
Secretary
