Här kommer lite matnyttlig information från våra kollegor i Grekland om hur ni tar er från flygplatsen in till Aten samt till arenan. Vi hoppas att ni har överseende med att informationen vidarebefordras direkt utan översättning (det gör att vi kan gå ut med erhållen information snabbare):
When you exit the airport you will see in front of you or on your right hand (in depends on which exit you will use) the airport buses. You will have to find the bus No X95
X95 Syntagma – Athens International Airport (average travelling time 60′)
The line connects the airport with Syntagma square in the city center and
the journey is approximately 60 minutes depending on the traffic.

The fare for the bus costs 3.2 Euros and you can buy it on a special kiosk
right next to the X95 bus.
Alternatively you can use the Metro to go to the Syntagma square (Blue Line) that departs every 30 minutes. You have to follow the signs to go to the metro station (it will take you aprroximately 5 minutes walk). The single fair for the metro is 6.0 Euros but you can buy a fair for three persons for 15.0 Euros. The journey to Syntagma square lasts 30 minutes. There you can change for the red line that goes to Omonoia (many hotels are there) or continue for one more station to Monastiraki (Other hotels are there).
A taxi to Athens costs around 25 Euros (depending on the traffic and the luggage you have)
To my opinion it is cheaper and easier to use the bus or the metro.
To go to the venue you have to take the green line of the metro from Omonia or Monastiraki (The direction is to Kifissia). The station for the Olympic Complex is called IRINI. Please follwo the signs for the Indoor Arena.
Vi har precis fått info från OGAE Greece om att det imorgon onsdagen den 10 maj är strejk för de kollektiva kommunikationsmedlena från flygplatsen in till Aten, så det kommer inte att gå att åka tunnelbana eller buss, som vi tidigare informerat om. Enda sättet att ta sig till Aten ska vara taxi. Vi återkommer om vi får mer info om detta.
